“How do I know for sure that my name is in the Lamb’s Book of Life?” That’s the question that opened the day on the second day of school this year in my 5th and 6th grade class. What a great question! I’m so thankful for the Lord working in that young heart after our very first Bible lesson. We are off to an amazing start to what is sure to be our best year ever. In our class, we have a bright new room and some bright new friends. My greatest desire is to open up a thirst for learning in my students and to develop a willing spirit to persevere and work hard. We cover a lot of material in this classroom, from bugs and ancient cultures to atoms and Indonesia. It can seem a bit overwhelming at first for our new students. One of the things I love the most about teaching is seeing the progress my students make and the pride of accomplishment that it brings to them.
